This Charity Is for the Birds

Get a behind-the-scenes look at how a dedicated animal welfare charity helps treat injured and orphaned birds of prey. This video highlights the special steps the rehabilitation specialists and volunteers must take when working with baby birds in their raptor trauma clinic — like wearing camouflage to decrease the chance that they’ll imprint on their care givers. The Audubon Center for Birds of Prey has been in operation since 1979 and treats more than 800 raptors each year.
